How long has Closet Factory been in business?

Closet Factory opened the first location in Los Angeles on Feb. 9, 1983. We started franchising in 1985 and have become a far-reaching and very successful franchise organization in the United States. We are in most metropolitan areas and service people all across the country.

We work with many different materials so clients can choose a clean, simple look of melamine or spectacular wood cabinetry with many embellishments. We custom stain and paint our systems so that the color blends perfectly with the décor of any home.

Do I need special software to keep track of my business?

We have proprietary software called ClosetWare that tracks every portion of the business. What is the average startup cost?

The two most common reasons businesses fail within one year of opening is being undercapitalized and lack of knowledge of the industry. That is why becoming a franchisee is so valuable. Your initial investment will range from $203,500 to $353,000. This amount includes the initial franchise fee of $46,500, equipment and working capital for the start of the business. However, a key element is also being trained in the business along with continual, ongoing support and advice. This is the reason why so many people are eager to invest in franchises.

Is training available?

Our training is unparalleled. First, you will spend two weeks in Los Angeles at the corporate office learning all aspects of the business. We will guide you through all of the steps needed to open your location successfully. On your opening day, one of our national sales trainers will be there to train your first group of salespeople and your service coordinator who will run your office. In a subsequent two-week period, one of our national operations trainers will help set up your factory and train your personnel in the operations (manufacturing and installation) of your business.
